Why Does My Dog Circle Around Before Peeing?

I’m sure you have come across another behaviour that might seem questionable – that is why does my dog circle around before peeing.

Well, some of the plausible reasons include –

1. Physical Activity for a Smooth Elimination

Dogs frequently circle in order to prepare their bowel movements and digestive systems for the upcoming task. This exercise aids in preparing their body for a proper and painless reliving experience.

2. Scent Masking

While it is well known that dogs mark their territory when they poop, the same is true of when they pee. Due to their scent glands, dogs frequently circle a point to mark their future territory and leave a scent trail that signifies that the area is now his!
