Martingale Collars

 Originally designed for sighthounds, Martingale collars helped the owners to gain more control over their dogs and prevent any slip outs as certain sighthound breeds have a smaller head and a larger neck ratio which make these dog breeds to slip out of their collar easily. 

But over time Martingale collars have become popular and are used for all dog breeds and dog sizes. Martingale collar consists of two loops, one that goes around the neck and one which forms a smaller loop that helps to tighten and put a centralised pressure if the leash is pulled, lessening any pressure around the dog's neck. The collar’s unique design allows the owner to set a proper length and fit which doesn’t compromise the dog’s comfort level around its neck unlike other collars.   

Martingale collar tightens when the dog tries to slip away and loosens on its own when the dog finally stops struggling against it, thus making it a more safer and humane option which is exactly why this collar is the one of the best aids when you are leash training your canine friend.
